Caro Emerald’s debut single “Back It Up” was released in The Netherlands on July 6, 2009 by Grandmono Records, a label setup by her producers David Schreurs and Jan van Wieringen to release the project. Dutch radio and TV just wouldn’t stop playing the record. Caro’s 2nd single “A Night Like This” was featured in an online Martini campaign, and reached #1 in the Dutch single charts on January, 22 2010.
A week later, on January 29, 2010 Grandmono Records released Caro’s much anticipated debut album: “Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor”. It entered at #1 in the album charts and reached platinum status within 6 weeks (>50.000). The album has been #1 for 28 weeks, a historic chart record for a national record in The Netherlands. Until today, in Holland alone, well over 170.000 albums have been sold (triple platinum).
We'll release Caro Emerald's album later this fall, and her catchy hit single will be out within the next days to come. The single is featured in Kappahl's latest commercial, which can be seen clicking this link.
